SHORT DESCRIPTION
A wearable device that allows for advanced and reliable  24/7 monitoring of cardiac functions

ABSTRACT
High blood pressure is known to be the leading risk factor for cardiovascular diseases; therefore, proper and reliable monitoring of blood pressure is essential for reducing risk of cardiovascular events. While there are commercially available products for at home blood pressure monitoring, there’s a lot of room for improvement. Current gold standard devices lack convenience, are bulky, and require the consumer to follow a strict protocol. This wearable device allows for patients to reliably measure their blood pressure throughout the night/day. It was designed to integrate all sensors inside a small main watch, solving the bulky issue. It’s also designed to work in three modes to improve battery life and ensure for continuous readings. As well as the ability to measure blood pressure, the watch measures temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure and heart rate which allows for improved interpretations of data. Thus, decreasing the risk of cardiac events, hospitalization, and improving diagnostic accuracy by providing a holistic reading. With the increasing number of cardiac events globally as well as the desire for more accessible medical technology, this device will be highly desirable in the medical community.
