A system for managing excess wires on a smart sock prototype for athlete and lab testing
This product is a component of a “smart sock” that can be used in lab and athletics testing. The product improves on previous wire management methods which involve a more centralized method handled on the actual enclosure itself. This system allows the management to be more spread out. Moving the tie downs where the sensors attach to the sock allows for easier access and adjustability.
3D printed tie downs used for excess wire management. The product was designed based on a boat cleat. The tie downs mount directly to a “smart sock” above the sensor location providing adequate spacing in managing the wires.
The system reduces obtrusive wires and allows for adjustability between participants.
This product is most useful in lab applications where prototypes such as the “smart sock” often contain obtrusive developments like excess wires.
