We have designed a secure cloud filing system to protect users from data leaks in cloud computing environments. SCARF is a dual-layer secure file system which utilizes cryptographic hashing techniques to disguise the cloud storage system in case of an inevitable data leak due to human error. This innovative method is able to defend customers against accidental confidential data leaks discovered by malicious search agents. This novel system and method provides a unique framework and algorithm to reduce the risk of data leaks and is applicable to numerous organizations which use cloud computing storage services.
