RotoBOD

Bench-top instrument to measure oxygen consumption in small, suspended samples. The design utilizes a motor to rotate 60 gas-tight incubation bottles horizontally at user-determined speeds.  It enables particles to stay in suspension through constant rotation to better replicate the activity the particles would show in their normal environment. The implementation of the AutoBOD technology in this instrument helps avoid variations in temperature and measurement techniques for oxygen concentration measurements through an infrared thermometer. RotoBOD has successfully measured respiration rates at a high level of precision and accuracy through automation and replication.
