The Radiology Imaging Workflow Software System is a web-based workflow management tool used for digital radiology imaging, recording, analysis and reporting. The software platform provides a communication structure for electronically managing, processing and exchanging radiology images as well as related medical information between healthcare personnel in an integrated fashion. It interfaces with voice recognition, image viewing, and radiology information system programs to provide a seamless one-stop shopping application for radiologists as a primary diagnostic workstation for reporting. In addition to coordination and interfacing of the systems mentioned above, it also brings additional functionality to the workbench including randomized peer review, case search, technical QA, messaging, teaching file management, productivity assessment, and free text report searching, all in a platform fully integrated with image viewing. The technology is based on two pending patent applications, one of which was published as US 20100094649 on April 15, 2010. It was developed by and is being used at Intermountain Healthcare.
