The system comprises one or more sensors, such as piezoelectric sensors, enabling real-time monitoring of applied pressure.
Inventors: John Menezes, Joshua Goldman, Oliver Musovski
Menezes: An associate professor with the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV, is the only fellowship trained craniofacial surgeon in Las Vegas. Among his areas of expertise are cleft lip and palate repair, craniosynostosis, microtia (ear reconstruction), microsurgery, and adult and pediatric facial trauma.
Goldman: Completed a fellowship in integrated reconstructive microsurgery and craniofacial surgery at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI. He also completed a residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Kerkorian School of Medicine
Musovski: Has earned Computer Engineering (CPE) degree and Master of Business Administration (MBA) focused in Information Systems and Technology Commercialization from University of Nevada-Las Vegas. Demonstrated history of working in the gambling & casinos industry.
The Invention:
System which includes one or more sensors, such as piezoelectric sensors, thereby allowing dynamic monitoring of the applied pressure. A user and/or healthcare provider is able to ensure correct garment pressure at application, and dynamically monitor pressure, such as via a wireless communication system. The disclosed devices and system can be used for compression therapy
