This technology is a novel way of printing diffractive pupils through a means of maskless lithography on any surface.
Background: Currently, the fabrication of diffractive pupils is limited to planar surfaces because there are many issues and restrictions with printing diffractive pupils on aspheric mirror surfaces. Printing diffractive structures on a spherical mirror is an inconvenient method currently and causes asymmetric distortion in telescopes.
