A new MSU technology allows for the monitoring of lung transplant rejection through biomarkers in the patient’s breath.
Description of Technology
This MSU technology is a combined sensor that detects peroxynitrite and nitric oxide levels. The patient breathes into the portable device and a multichannel potentiostat allows for the detection of these biomarkers. High levels of these species are indicative of lung transplant rejection.
