Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) Detection Assay

Measuring CoQ10 levels can be quite difficult due to an inability to distinguish reduced from oxidized CoQ10, stability concerns, and the need for large sample volume (0.5-1 ml).

Our researchers have developed a unique, single-step extraction high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method with electrochemical (EC) detection that can reliably determine oxidized vs. reduced levels of CoQ10 in all human tissues, plasma, and bodily fluids. The methods have been successfully adapted to meet regulatory requirements for clinical laboratories, have been proven reliable for analysis in clinical and research settings, and only require 100ul of sample. We can also determine CoQ10 levels in dietary supplements using ultraviolet (UV) methods.
