CIM23EAPP1-01-07

CIM23EAPP1-01-07  is an intermediate-maturing, high-yielding maize hybrid with white grain, drought tolerance, nitrogen-use efficiency, and resistance to GLS, TLB, ear rots, and MSV. It is particularly notable for being MLN-tolerant and having demonstrated a 12% yield advantage over the best commercial check in on-farm trials.   General Information   Target region Eastern Africa   Adaptation/Agroecological zone 600-1500 masl   Type of product Three-way cross   Year first announced 2025             Why farmers say they like it* Grain Yield   Good yield, early maturity, drought and disease resistance Grain yield (OPT) 7.34 t/ha   Grain yield (On-farm) 4.26 t/ha   *Common keywords from farmer feedback in the 2024 Stage 5 (EA-ROFT 2024-1A) Trials.
