CIM20AHDY-78

CIM20AHDY-78 is an intermediate-maturing maize hybrid bred for the tropical lowlands of South Asia. This high-yielding, yellow-kernel maize hybrid performs well under heat-plus-drought conditions, and has tolerance to MSR. It demonstrates consistent yield across environments (7.30 t/ha under stress) with good stability across VPD levels and balanced agronomic traits, and only moderate disease response.   General Information   Target Region South Asia   Adaptation/Agroecological zone Tropical Lowland   Type of product Single-cross hybrid   Year first announced 2026         Kernel Characteristics   Kernel color Yellow   Kernel texture Semi-flint             Biotic Stress Performance Grain Yield   Fusarium stalk rot (FSR) (AI) (1-9)* 5.9 Grain yield (rainfed) 4.87 t/ha   Macrophomina Stalk Rot (MSR) (AI) (1-9)* 6.2 Grain yield (high VPD) 3.94 t/ha   *Diseases are scored on a 1-9 scale, where 1 = Highly resistant; 5 = Tolerant; 9 = Highly susceptible.
