CIM20ADTY-41

CIM20ADTY-41 is an intermediate-maturing maize hybrid bred for the tropical lowlands of South Asia. This high-yielding, yellow-kernel maize hybrid performs well under drought conditions, and has tolerance to TLB and FSR. It is a highly stable hybrid delivering consistent yields under stress, with strong drought resilience and excellent field uniformity.   General Information   Target Region South Asia   Adaptation/Agroecological zone Tropical Lowland   Type of product Single-cross hybrid   Year first announced 2026         Kernel Characteristics   Kernel color Yellow       Kernel texture Semi-flint Grain Yield       Grain yield (opt.) 6.95 t/ha   Biotic Stress Performance Grain yield (rainfed) 4.28 t/ha   Fusarium stalk rot (FSR) (AI) (1-9)* 5.1 Grain yield under on-farm conditions 7.33 ± 0.51 t/ha   Turcicum leaf blight (TLB) (AI) (1-9)* 5.4 Grain yield under drought stress (DT) 4.03 t/ha   *Diseases are scored on a 1-9 scale, where 1 = Highly resistant; 5 = Tolerant; 9 = Highly susceptible.       Agronomic Characteristics       Maturity group Intermediate   Seed Production Characteristics 50% anthesis 57 days   Female parent yield 4.20 t/ha 906 GDD   Male parent yield 3.62 t/ha Anthesis-silking interval  0.81 days   Nicking -5.0 days Ear height  40 cm       Plant height  78 cm   Comments Ear position (ratio) 0.50   Product information is based on data from CIMMYT's 2022-23 Stage 4 and 2024-25 Stage 5 Trials under SADT. Actual performance will vary depending on a number of agronomic and environmental factors.
