CAH214

CAH214 is an intermediate-maturing maize hybrid bred for the tropical lowlands of South Asia. This high-yielding, yellow-kernel maize hybrid performs well under drought and drought-plus-waterlogging conditions, and has tolerance to TLB and FSR.   General Information   Target Region South Asia   Adaptation/Agroecological zone Tropical Lowland   Type of product Single-cross hybrid   Year first announced 2024         Kernel Characteristics       Kernel color Yellow Grain Yield   Kernel texture Semi-Flint Grain yield under opt. 8.42 t/ha       Grain yield on-farm 5.80 ± 2.53 t/ha   Biotic Stress Performance Grain yield under DT 3.49 t/ha   Fusarium stalk rot (FSR) (AI) (1-9)* 5.5 Grain yield under WL 3.32 t/ha   Turcicum leaf blight (TLB) (AI) (1-9)* 4.0 Grain yield under Mod.
