CAH153

CAH153 is an intermediate-maturing maize hybrid bred for the tropical lowlands of South Asia. This high-yielding, yellow-kernel maize hybrid performs well under drought conditions, and has tolerance to TLB, FSR and BLSB.   General Information   Target Region South Asia   Adaptation/Agroecological zone Tropical Lowland   Type of product Single-cross Hybrid   Year first announced 2016             Kernel Characteristics Grain Yield   Kernel color Yellow Grain yield (opt.) 10.18 t/ha   Kernel texture Semi-dent Grain yield under drought stress (DT) 4.60 t/ha       Grain yield random stress (RS) 3.65 t/ha   Biotic Stress Performance       Fusarium stalk rot (FSR) (AI) (1-9) 6.8 Agronomic Characteristics   Turcicum leaf blight (TLB) (AI) (1-9) 5.5 50% anthesis 51.4 Days   Banded leaf and sheath blight (BLSB) (AI) (1-9) 5.6 Anthesis-silking interval  1.7 Days   Diseases are scored on a 1-9 scale, where 1 = Highly resistant; 5 = Tolerant; 9 = Highly susceptible.
