CAH1511

CAH1511 is an intermediate-maturing maize hybrid bred for the tropical lowlands of South Asia. This high-yielding, yellow-kernel maize hybrid performs well under drought and drought-plus-waterlogging conditions, and has tolerance to TLB, FSR and BLSB.   General Information   Target Region South Asia   Adaptation/Agroecological zone Tropical Lowland   Type of product Single-cross hybrid   Year first announced 2015             Kernel Characteristics Grain Yield   Kernel color Yellow Grain yield (opt.) 9.77 t/ha   Kernel texture Semi-dent Grain yield under drought stress (DT) 3.40 t/ha       Grain yield under waterlogging stress (WL) 6.46 t/ha   Biotic Stress Performance Grain yield random stress (RS) 2.94 t/ha   Fusarium stalk rot (FSR) (AI) (1-9) 6.5       Turcicum leaf blight (TLB) (AI) (1-9) 5.6 Agronomic Characteristics   Banded leaf and sheath blight (BLSB) (AI) (1-9) 5.6 50% anthesis 51.2 Days   Diseases are scored on a 1-9 scale, where 1 = Highly resistant; 5 = Tolerant; 9 = Highly susceptible.
