New electronics and biomedical devices are being proposed which utilize radio frequency (RF)/microwaves, such as biomedical imaging, sensors, etc. These new applications will need better RF/microwave materials with high permeability and low magnetic loss in these higher frequency ranges. Our researchers have developed novel soft magnetic ferrite materials which are highly resistive, have a high permeability, low magnetic loss and chemical stability up to 100s of MHz. Additionally, the manufacturing process can easily be changed to tune the material's magnetic properties.
