Researchers at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Pharmacy have designed and tested a table-top game to promote teamwork among health care professionals and educate them on how social determinants of health play a role in medication adherence. This simulation, designed for inter-professional education, provides three scenarios for students to solve in an “escape room” style environment. This exercise allows 60 minutes for students to use the clues provided in the box to solve three puzzles to successfully “escape the box” by addressing all the patients’ needs in each puzzle scenario.
This game is available for licensing through the University of Tennessee Research Foundation.
